Today, I have another beautiful, natural light newborn session to share. I was able to photograph the older sister in these portraits a few times. She has been waiting anxiously to become a big sister, and now, her brother has made his arrival! It was a treat for me to have the entire family involved in the session, which took place at my studio. Of course, I took many photos of this darling little guy, but also was able to get some varieties of family poses as well: mom and baby, dad and baby, siblings together, and the proud big sister on her own. Abigail (sister) even brought a very special fairy outfit that she couldn’t wait to show me, so make sure you scroll all the way down to see that!
Often, clients ask me what to wear to a newborn session. Because I shoot with natural light and my style veers to modern, crisp portraits, I love attire that reflects that styling as well. Solid colors, combined with bright, clean neutrals (here, mom and dad donned white tops) look lovely next to natural skin tones. Here, the children in the family (baby and big sis) also wore shades of neutrals with some blue mixed in. As you can see, the overall end result is calming, clean, and fresh!
Baby Ryan and his pretty blue eyes were a delight to capture…If you are interested in a newborn session like this one, I’d love to chat with you about when we can schedule you and your sweet baby in!
“Family is born out of love. Siblings become friends, and parents fall in love
with the people who share their blood. It is a beautiful mystery,
this becoming of a family, and one of life’s greatest joys”

Baby’s mom is a fan of my custom storyboard designs. She’s had me design several storyboards for her in the past, with various layouts consisting of images from our sessions. Of course, it seemed fitting to have a storyboard just for Baby Ryan! I think they will treasure this for years to come.
