“If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.” – Mother Teresa
Hello! I am Sarb Glaze, the camera artist that may have the honor of documenting you. I have been a lifer to the city of Vancouver and am in love with all of it’s innumerable aspects of beauty and local flair. I consider myself to be a blend of unwavering work ethic – handed down from my parents, a wanderlust, a people watcher, equal parts problem solver, human connector, and friendly collaborator. I grew up as a strong willed sibling from a family of six, always going against the wind. Turns out that this is one of the traits that helped make me a strong woman and mother of two sweet little ones today. Amongst other things, l love meeting and learning about new people, I love to laugh and make others partake in the joy of laughter and I enjoy indulging in my favorite glass of wine on my downtime.
Oh! And of course, I am a natural light photographer! I love light! I love the way light hits the back of a child’s hair providing an angelic look, the way it fills my studio on a sunny day and makes my subjects glow, and the way it illuminates a child’s eyes. I also love the way the light from a small window in a dark room highlights the specks of dust floating over a child as he reads his book. I love the way a splinter of light, on a cloudy day, can highlight a beautiful baby bump or a baby’s toes. I love how light makes shadows. A Shadow from the tree in the front yard. A shadow of mom watching over baby at the beach. In fact, sometimes the shadows that light creates can be the most interesting part of an image captured. Light. It can be harsh, it can be soft, it can be bright, it can be dim. I love to capture light with my camera and create portraits and art for my clients.
