What does my session cover?
The session fee pays for the photographer’s time and talent during and after the session. Digital images are purchased seperately.
How many people can be included in the session event? Up to three children participants ages six months and older can be accommodated in the same time slot. I recommend that an additional time slot be booked for more children. Short Story sessions are exclusive to the little ones, however, parent participation may be available based on the individual event for a small added fee.
How long will it take for my images to be ready for viewing?
After your event is over, you should expect to view your images for a special online proofing appointment with me within 4 weeks. Additionally, from the time familes provide me with their final selections including but not limited to product purchases, sessions are fulfilled and delivered within 10-14 business days thereafter.
When will I be able to book my next short story event?
Typically, my current families will initially receive notice of my upcoming events. This will be followed by providing notice to my newsletter subscribers, after which the general public will be advised. I open a limited amount of spots for each event and they do book out very quickly! They occur a generally once, possibly twice, per year during predetermined dates and times. In the event that a Short Story session sells out, please feel free to contact the studio directly to be added to a waitlist, should a previous booking fall through or if new dates open up.
What should I expect the day of my session?
Each 20 minute session block is meant to allow for approximately 15 minutes of shoot time and 5 minutes of warming up time. Those 5 minutes are when I get to meet and learn a little bit about your little one(s). I encourage an atmosphere that is inviting + fun, so the little ones feel comfortable and relaxed.
Can you retouch boo boo’s, scars & wrinkles?
Yes, and my clients love this extra service! Additional fees may apply for more intricate and advanced retouching requests.
I’m ready to book a session with you, what is my next step?
Email me to let me know of your availability based on the session times made available. Once a session time has been confirmed, and upon the receipt of your reservation payment (non-refundable session fee), I will send you an email with further instructions so that you can begin planning for the event!
What should I have my child wear?
I am happy to make suggestions on wardrobe and provide some visuals and inspiration towards your little one’s outfit(s). But in general, I suggest that children wear neutral, modern clothing and avoid characters, text or anything that may potentially “age” the image. This minimalistic base will give your portraits the ability to truly become even more timeless as your child gets older.
What is your Cancellation policy?
Due to the limited availability of the short story sessions, refunds can not be given for a missed event. Clients will have the option to reschedule to another event date, if room is available, or book a private appointment on a mutually convenient weekday appointment, for an additional fee of $50. In order to qualify for a reschedule, you must request it at least 5 days prior to your event. After this time frame you are welcome to offer your session to a friend!
What if my child is not at his/her best during the session?
I will be as flexible as possible within your session time. I do however, adore the very aspect of capturing a child’s true personality and this might mean tears, laughter, pensive faces or nothing but giggles. These are the fleeting moments that you will most definitely not want to forget and my goal is always to capture them just as they are!
Do you archive session image files?
I will archive your purchased images for a maximum of 6 months, however this can not be guaranteed. Random acts of nature, hard drive failure and computer crashes iare something that can happen to anyone at any time. Because of this, it is imperative that once you receive any digital files, you make additional copies and back them up for safekeeping. Sarb Glaze Photography will not be held liable to replace missing images after I have delivered them to you.
How will my purchase be delivered?
Any digital image purchased will be delivered via an online downloadable gallery. The gallery will be available to you for approximately two weeks to download images, archive and to share with friends and family. Prints and any other physical products will be made available for pick up at the studio.
