There is something about the bond between siblings that remains captivating, no matter how many times I photograph it. It’s really beautiful to see two little ones become friends. A truly loyal client of mine, who I’ve had the joy of photographing for three years, brought her newest bundle of joy to be photographed alongside his sister. I was delighted to meet baby Caleb, and loved seeing his newly-minted big sister, who was as proud as could be. And his smiles, oh those smiles!! I loved the gentle, soft greys and pretty florals throughout this session, coupled with the ample, natural light. When dressing newborns and siblings, I always recommend soft neutrals and small, subtle patterns so they don’t overwhelm the emotional connection and facial expressions…after all, those are the things you want captured!
Caleb was an angel; so patient and calm throughout the whole mini session, and he allowed his protective big sister to do pretty much whatever she wanted with him. Siena is so intensely proud of him, and was very careful and sweet in holding and caring for him. I’ve said it before, every sibling relationship is unique and its amazing for me to watch how two siblings interact with one another…one of the many perks of my job. Here are Siena + Caleb!
(My mini sessions are currently available, and you can find more information about the investment, scheduling, and availability here. A mini session is a beautiful way to document your little ones in a shorter, simpler shoot.)
“Thank you Sarb for the beautiful pictures of our 2 little ones. You never cease to amaze me. In our first session with you almost 3 years ago you captured Siena’s playfulness and wonder on film and now after 4 sessions we have an amazing collection of pictures of both Caleb and Siena that we adore and love to share. You are creative, patient and flexible and not to mention our kids love you.
Thank you and we look forward to our next shoot.” – Shalina
