Why do you want maternity portraits? Well, I know you may not feel “beautiful” at this time in your life, particularly if you’ve had a hard pregnancy or gained a bit of weight (Or, you may be ready and feeling fierce!). Whether or not you feel like a model for a photoshoot, trust me, you are BEAUTIFUL, and you should document this time in your life for the little one to come, as well as for yourself. You just might surprise yourself with how fun and confidence-building a maternity photoshoot can be. I try to help my subjects feel as happy and comfortable as possible. This beautiful mom met up with me at Jericho Beach in Vancouver on a cool, crisp morning with a touch of sunlight. Because we met on-location and outdoors, we were met with a variety of scenes and light. We also snuck in a wardrobe change; I loved both of her flattering and chic outfits!
This mom was so eager and expectant, and I’m happy to announce that she had her daughter not too long after this session. She is now enjoying being a new parent, and I even got to capture little Chloe in a newborn session recently (find Chloe’s session here). My maternity sessions typically include one to one-and-a-half hours of shooting time, and you can choose in studio or on-location portraits. If you would like to book your newborn session concurrently, you can even earn a discount! Find out more about my sessions and availability here.
“Sarb did an amazing job capturing my pregnancy. She made me feel comfortable and beautiful during the shoot and the photos were stunning! I really appreciated the extra time she spent to get a variety of different poses and backgrounds.” -Tanya
